V Magazine Shoot

Recently read about V Magazine's 'One Size Fits All' Shoot where they featured a Size 16 model next to a Size 0 Model. The plus size model is the beautiful Crystal Renn.
Personally, I can't decide how I feel about the photographs. The work is beautiful, the models are stunning and I enjoy the styling but I can't justify calling Crystal Renn plus size.

What do you think?

FINALLY!

After about a year of lusting after them, realising I couldn't afford them and then not being able to get them ANYWHERE. I finally FINALLY got them.

Christian Louboutin Ariella Studded Boots

I honestly think it will get to the point where my friends will beg me to take them off. It's true love.

Purse Killer #2

I've loved the ACNE Atacoma Wedges for what feels like a decade but I'm truly in love with their 2010 Special Edition Gun Metal Grey Version.

£415 ACNE Shop

LOVEFEST.

I'll never wear it and it's not something I would usually love.

But I want it so much!
ignore the hideous photography/editing/styling.

Amanda Wakely.

Lush

I've been really into Lush these days and can't seem to walk past it without buying a couple of things! I would post a picture but, lets face it, you've seen them all before!

In the last few weeks I've picked up: Smitten Hand Cream, the Sugar Scrub and Sugar babe, Tea Tree Toner, So White Bath Bomb, Vanilla Fountain Bath Bomb and finally Big Shampoo.

I can't decide if I like the Shampoo!
I feel like it really strips the hair of product build up, so maybe it would be better to alternate with a more gentle shampoo. Let me know if you have any tips, or anything else I NEED to buy from Lush! :)

P.s. As you may know, every time you take back 5 little black pots to Lush, you get a free fresh face mask. So let me know which ones you like cause I have loads to take back!

MAC Harmony Blush

After seeing pixi2woo on YouTube (who I love!) use MAC Harmony Blush to contour in every single video, I decided I need to get it. I picked it up about two weeks ago and have used it every day since then. Harmony is a matte powder blush which is a yellow toned brown.

I think it gives a much more natural contour than bronzer does and being pale skinned sometimes bronzer can look too harsh. Harmony gives a natural shadow underneath the cheekbone and jawline. I use it on a MAC 150 to hit those points and I love it!

Shoe and Tell

Cheesiest post title ever. Loves it.
Just a couple of beauties I bought the other week.
New Look; £35 and £30.
Also, a trip to my local Superdrug (which was originally only to check if they stocked Sleek Make-up yet) turned into me buying a few bits that I do not need!
Eyeko tinted cream, Barry M Gold Liner, Barry M Dazzle Dusts in 33, 32 and 88. Beauty UK Palette, Neautrogena Wave and refills, Gosh Darling.

perfect outfit

Although I do mix it up alot, this is a good example of my daily outfits. Although i'm not trying to tell you every item I own is designer.

blingtastic

I'm a little bit in love with this bracelet, it's a beauty. It would go perfect with my imaginary Balmain wardrobe.

Lets Pretend..

Lets all just pretend that this is my Christmas day outfit, okay?
Except without the harnesses on the Sam Edelman's.

Anyone know a good dupe for that Alexander McQueen Clutch?

Oh Balenciaga, how you tease me..

If only I had a spare $1,745...

What do you want for Christmas?

purse killer #1

if I don't get a pair of these shoes I may, actually, I will scream to high heaven. They're Louise Goldin for Topshop and there are no dates for release. More pictures at Mykromag.
I think yum is the word you're looking for.

FOTD

Hi loves, never done one of these before, but I took this before I ran out to dinner.

Face: Loreal True Match Foundation in N1 with
MAC Studio Fix Concealer in NW15, set with
Stargazer Pro Powder. Cheeks: MAC Well Dressed Brush with ELF Warm Bronzer to contour. Eyes: MAC Brulee as a base with a couple of browns from the Sleek Storm Palette and a touch of ELF eye shadow in Golden. Oh and Prestige eyebrow pencil in Blonde, really liking that! Lips: NYX Lipstick in Hera with an NYC Gloss on top in Black Cherry Frost.

Never thought I'd do these, but that was actually pretty fun :)

Dupefest!

Hi darlings! So, being on a plane with leftover money and a brochure in your hand is always fun. That's when I first bought one of my favourite products, YSL Touch Eclate. If you don't know, it's a reflective concealer for.. well, anywhere you like.
I'll keep it short and sweet, I was in Primark a few months ago and noticed they had a new make-up range. The packaging really caught my eye. Bought a few things, but by far the best was this Ta Ta for Now Magic Undereye Concealer. Mine is in the shade Light and I love it. Just after buying it I ran out of my YSL and I have repurchased because I love this so much! Plus, it's only £2.50. So if you can't afford £21 for Touch Eclat then definitely try this out! :)

Purchases!

Hi darlings, I think it's time I limit my spending! In the couple of days I've bought:

  • MAC 194 x 2
  • MAC 150
  • MAC 182
  • MAC Chrome Yellow Pigment
  • MAC Pro Fairylite Pigment
  • MAC Black Tied Eye shadow
  • Rimmel Sexy Curves Mascara
  • 3 New Pairs of shoes
  • Various items of clothing!
  • OPI Nail Polish in My Private Jet
I know it looks like I'm in LOVE with MAC, but I'm actually not!
Think I might do a little 'haul' type thing with the shoes, cause they're beautiful! :)
P.s that picture has nothing to do with this, I just liked it.

8 Most Worn Tag

Hello darlings, thought i'd jump on the band wagon with this tag :)

Most worn lipstick: I wear Rimmel Lipstick in Alarm almost every day (pictured)
but I really like Ruby Woo from MAC as well.
Most worn shoes: Obviously I love a good platform but during the day I find myself wear my man boots (pictured) they're so comfy and I love them!
Most worn top: I can't really pick one!, I don't wear the same top more than twice a month but I really like loose chiffon blouses at the moment.
Most worn bag: Same story here, I change bags all the time. Generally it's something leather with hardware and big enough to fit all my rubbish in!
Most worn bracelet: I wear a ton of jewellery on my wrist, I bought these
studded bracelets from the Miss Selfridge sale. Obnoxious but I love them.
Most worn eye shadow: Probably MAC's Brulee or Carbon, I use MAC Painpot
in Indianwood a lot and I'm constantly reaching for my Sleek Pallets.
Most worn perfume: Dolce and Gabbana Light Blue, forever and always.
Most worn hair product: Hairspray obviously, I use a real cheap one from Tesco.
I also love this Toni and Guy Heat Protector, it leaves my hair really soft.

Everyday

Hello darlings, this might be the worst post ever or the most interesting thing you've ever read.
Pretty much, these are the bracelets and bangles that sit on the bedside table that I through on every morning.
P.s I made no apologies for the obnoxious studded one!
In case you're interested, from top to bottom: Primark, Dorothy Perkins, Vintage, Unknown, Bulgaria, Miss Selfridge, Vintage.

Thanks for reading! :)

Little Update..

Hello darlings, every time I post I say I'm going to post more, then I don't.

This week I've realised how disappointed in myself I am for not picking up more from the style black collection! I only picked up the black dazzleglass, like an idiot! I'm dying for gilt by association! Dying!

Ordered MAC 3 eye shadows tonight. Goldmine, Antiqued and Black Tied. I'm sure you've seen them before. Also re-purchased Well Dressed Blush the other day, it's a must have for me.

Really liking this headband I picked up in Primark the other day!
You can't really go wrong with Primark to be honest!

I've also been getting back into writing music recently and just bought a decent mic, so maybe this blog will feature a couple of songs! Let me know if that would be something you'd be interested in :)

Lace Gloves

I'm very much okay with them. I've been wearing mine a lot recently, but what am I going to do when the weather actually permits wearing gloves?!

I've been wearing mine with a couple of rings stacked on top. I'm into it. I'm interested in getting some lace leggings to layer over tights, grey preferably. Your thoughts?

I've also been on an e-bay frenzy recently. If anyone knows where I can get some kind of replica of those Topshop Ashish boots that are selling for about 8billion pounds and your soul, then let me know and we can be best friends for the rest of our lives.

Finally

After a good few years of searching, I have finally found it.

The Perfect Foundation!

Being very very pale, I've found it really hard to find a foundation that doesn't make me look grey or orange. Trust me, I've tried them all! MAC, Clinique, Nicola Roberts 'Dainty Doll' Range, Stargazer, Shu Uemura and about 3 million drugstore buys.

After a bit of research I found out what foundation Dita Von Teese uses and obviously I had to try it.

L'oreal True Match Foundation in N1 is perfect for me! I'm seriously in love with it. It's the perfect shade and I love the formulation! The only thing I would say is that it probably wouldn't work for people with dry skin. Other than that, no complaints! If it works for Dita...

Chandler Bing

I'm trying to commit to this blog, I really enjoy writing it but I seem to always forget about it!

I really want a pencil dress with long sleeves and a lower neckline! I have a picture of it in my head, but can't seem to find what I'm looking for, does anyone else have this problem!? It happens to me all the time.

If anyone can help me find this I will love you!

Also if anyone can suggest some new good on-line shops?

Taking inspiration (well, copying) the make-up looking from Moschino's recent collection, I tried this look on a night out last week and I LOVED IT. I tend to wear red lipstick everyday, with liner on my lid so when I go out I want to take it up a notch, without looking like a hooker. I really liked this but it was a bloody nightmare to try and get the lines even! In the end I just done and well as I could and told myself I was going for the less than perfect look!

I'm really enjoying make-up visuals recently, something I never used to really notice. Especially with brands like Illamasqua becoming bigger. If you've seen the visuals for their Sirens Collection or for Dystopia you'll know exactly what I mean!

September Favourites

I know that about 7 million people on youtube do monthly make-up favourites so I thought I'd give it a try using clothes that I can seem to stop wearing.

I finally gave into the trend and bought a blazer. Picked up this one a couple of weeks ago from New Look. It was £30 but I know that it's been reduced to £20! It's jersey material so wearing it feels more like a cardigan if anything. I didn't want to give into this trend because it's becoming over done but since I bought one I can't seem to stop wearing it, it just goes with everything!
Secondly, these beautiful wedges. They seem to call to me every time I leave the house. I haven't yet been brave enough to wear them during the day but every time I go out they are the first pair I grab. Found them through another blog (Luxe Noir if my memory serves me correctly). They're from Office and were reduced from £80 to £30, amazing.

Things I've also been enjoying this month are:
  • Wearing several skinny belts together.
  • Finding out that Faith and Matalan use the same shoe suppliers.
  • Grey and/or ribbed leggings.
  • Ebay (always and forever (L))
  • Wearing my wet look vest pretty much all the time.
  • Layers.

My new love

MAC Paint Pot in Indianwood.

bought it on the way home from college last week and I truly love it!

It's amazing with every colour in my Sleek storm palette (which was my true love before the paint pot)

Neglect!

If this blog was a child then social services would be huntin me down!

Anyway, my friend and I are starting a youtube channel called The Fashion Forecast

We'll be doing weekly videos (if timetables allow!) on trends we like or dislike, celebrity styles and anything else that takes our fashion. You should head over and subscribe, I heard you get eternal happiness if you do...

Christian Dior Haute Couture - S/S 04.

This has to be one of, if not my favourite, collections ever.

This was the first collection by John Galliano that really made me realise how much of an artist he is. As can clearly be seen, the full collection is based off his trip to Egypt, taken just before he started designing the pieces.

I'm a bit obsessed with all things ancient Egypt so, of course, this collection appealed to me. But I just found every single piece to be perfect.
It's over the top, exaggerated and different from what other designers were doing at the time. Which for most, was nothing special. I also love that I can look at it today and still appreciate it.

The head pieces and all the jewels add to the dresses themselves and the way the models were asked to walk was very angular and made the collection feel even more realistic.

What I also loved about the collection was the make-up. Which, is amazing. I'm 99% the make-up looks are Pat McGrath, it looks like her work and I know John Galliano loves her. Let me know if I'm wrong though!

P.s here's a link in case anyone wants to drool over the collection!

Old Hollywood Glamour

Marilyn Monroe, Ginger Rodgers, Jane Russell, Jean Harlow and Maureen O'Hara (to name a few) are all ladies who I think posses this type of effortless elegance.

It's something which I think we don't see anymore. Even with people like Dita Von Teese and Bernie Dexter recreating, I don't think there will ever be icons like there was.

Anyway, onto my point. Season after season I see designers take inspiration from this era, changing it slightly or modernizing it, but always sticking to the same basic principle: Pencil skirts/dresses with or without corseting, fur, jewels.. essentially just glamour at it's best. I think it's great to see and in an idea world one day I will go out on a Saturday night and be surround by pencil skirts not mini skirts and fake tan.

Dolce and Gabbana Fall 2009 Ready to wear Collection has done exactly this. Taken 30's, 40's and 50's glamour and turned up the volume!

I love it.

It's power dressing, it's sexy and it's glamorous. There's also pencil trousers and bold prints all combined to give a feeling of luxury. With the 'hero' dress of the collection being a corsetted dress with an old La Traviata flyer pieced in.

As if this isn't long enough I need to throw in a picture of a dress which although could be called garish, I have fallen in love with ...

Louis Vuitton...

you've done it again.

These beauties can be ankle, knee length or thigh high boots. Love them. Love them. Love them.

I'm really liking LV's A/W collection this year, good things are coming from it. If anyone can find dupes of these let me know!

If only I had a £1,380 to spend!

Lush..

I'm loving Lush at the moment for skincare!

It wasn't till I took my cousin in to get some stuff for her hormonal face that I got chatting with the sales advisor and came out having spent £40!

My favourite thing at the moment is the Ultrabland Cleanser...

It is by far the best cleanser I have ever used. I've spend up to £30 on cleanser before, thinking it would do wonders.. but it didn't. This comes in at £ 8.94 for a huge tub and I love it!

I put it all over my face at night and then take it off with a damp cotton pad. AND it doesn't sting my eyes, yey! I've also been using it as a lip balm and on the dry skin on my elbows and it works a treat! I'm using it in conjunction with the Tee Tree Water Toner spray and it's done wonders for my skin after only a week.

Anyone got any other suggestions for spending more money at lush?!

TRENDS: Studs

They are everywhere, I know it's becoming a joke. Still, I love them!

I'd always liked the odd studded belt but it's became an obsession in the past year or two.

Especially when I saw these beauties...

Amazing doesn't even cover it!

It's everywhere now. Dresses, Bags, Jewellery and I swear the other day I saw a pair of studded legwarmers... it was not pretty!

I am trying to curve the habit but every time I pick something to wear and I'm not happy with it, I find myself hunched over my desk with said item, glue and lots of these little beauties...

Surely the can't be the only one!?

p.s while we're talking about Christian Louboutin, anyone know if this website is legit?

if it is then we are all in for a treat! http://www.christianlouboutinshoesale.co.uk/

ELF Cosmetics

It's true love, I'm telling you.

First I fell in love with the prices, but thought it was too good to be true. It isn't, trust me.
Then the day I found a pencil liner with a sharpener on the lid, I knew it was true love!

Now this. ELF recently brought out their studio line and I had to get a few bits (more will be ordered asap!) But I noticed something about one of the brushes.

This is the new Powder Brush - £3.50

And this is the Pro Flat Top Foundation Brush by Jemma Kid - £19.57

I've used the both and the ELF brush does exactly the same job for foundation, I LOVE IT!
The rest of the products are amazing too, especially for the price, but I just had to note this!

Okay, end of lovefest!

TRENDS: Velvet

After being utterly astonished at seeing velvet on the backs of models in recent collections, I was even more shocked that I really liked it.

Most of all this little beauty of a LBD that Giorgio Armani produced. I love love love it! I can feel it in my bones that when Christmas comes around this will be repeated so much I'll be sick of the sight of velvet again, but all the same, it's still perfection!

After this shock to the system and realising velvet wasn't as bad as I had remembered from the horrible dresses I was made to wear as a child. I decided I wanted a piece for myself. Before I even left the house I found this beauty in a wardrobe. I can't remember how I got it, it's an emerald green mans blazer with a 'St Micheal's' label on the inside pocket. It's truly beautiful!

space

If i'm home, you can guarentee this is where I am.

I do love my little messy space.

ruby woo

Sometimes, you're just living your live and then fate steps in and you aren't the master of your own destiny anymore.

Exhibit A? See Below.

A thousand thanks to the buyer of these!

Dear cigarette...

you know I love you, but I'm afraid I think we're going to have to part ways soon. I enjoy your company, especially when I'm stressed or having a drink, so don't take this the wrong way.

It's just that the black lungs and wrinkly mouth don't really appeal to me. For now though, I count you as a loyal friend.

Love, Jennifer.

Creeps 'r' us

On a completely random and unrelated note...

It pains me that little bit more every date that i don't have this tattooed.

yeah ...

American Apparel

Why?

That's my one word review of it. Why?

It's overpriced, it's basic and I feel like I've walked into the 80's when I walk into the store.

Don't get me wrong, I do love a bit of the 80's, but not a shop full.

Unisex Fine Jersey Short Sleeved T-Shirt - £13.

No. Need.

It's not that i'm not willing to splurge. If it's Vintage ChloĆ© Chiffon then let me get my purse out! But when it's something I can buy from Primark for £1.50 then no thank you!
